The 2016 Election will be remembered as the "No Confidence" Vote…

banner 1

Usually by this time the USMjParty has already picked someone to support in the Presidential Election.

Notably, it has been Gary Johnson in at least the last two Presidential Elections.

This time is different.  This time it seems that there is absolutely no one running for office that I, myself, or my Colleagues, including Head Chair/Colorado Chair Bill Chengelis, aka Wayward Bill;   Pennsylvania Tom Johnson; Maryland Jeffrey Kabik; Vermont Cris Ericson; Hawaii Kenneth Peeler, Texas Chuck Miller aka Damagoman;  Oregon Jim Johnson; Utah Rob Hawthorne and Kentucky Sheree Krider (myself), that we have felt worthy of our support online or elsewhere.

A few people will most likely stand behind Gary Johnson, although, I, myself, have lost interest in him lately.  I wrote a short article a couple of months ago, “Lord, it’s time for another Election – What do we do now?”, in which I list just a few basic reasons why I DID NOT like each of the Candidates this year.  I was seriously hoping that my Colleagues would step up and speak out for someone…But that has not happened – at least so far, and it’s running pretty close to Election.  If that changes, there will be an update to this Newsletter sent out!

Speaking for myself, I would like to be able to go to the poll and enter a “Vote of No Confidence”, and force the system to start all over again.  Maybe we could do better if we tried again?  The only problem with that is the fact that since Obama’s term is up, I’m not sure how the Government would operate until another Election could be scheduled as this has never been done in the U.S. before.

A motion of no confidence (alternatively vote of no confidence, no-confidence motion, or (unsuccessful) confidence motion) is a statement or vote that a person or persons in a position of responsibility (government, managerial, etc.) is no longer deemed fit to hold that position: perhaps because they are inadequate in some respect, are failing to carry out obligations, or are making decisions that other members feel are detrimental.  LINK

In the United States, motions styled as “no confidence” are only symbolic and are rare.  In organizations that use Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR), there is no motion of no confidence, although the assembly could adopt a motion expressing a lack of confidence in its leaders (i.e. a motion to censure).[11]  The United States Congress passed a no confidence motion against Secretary of State Dean Acheson in the 1950s[12] and considered one against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales,[13] but these motions are of symbolic effect only.  LINK

It would seem to me that it is time to add another option to the voting ticket – “NO CONFIDENCE”.  In effect, the low voter turnout is serving as a “no confidence” vote, as they refuse to cast their vote for anyone running on the ticket.  However, since these votes are not counted, they serve no purpose except to make sure that someone that is not worthy will get into Office.  We need to change that so that if people actually have “no confidence” in the people running for any given office they can readily make that known through the voting process rather than abstaining from the vote altogether.  I really believe that in this Election the “no confidence” vote would be the winner.

In the U.S. the Electoral Vote wins the Election.  Not the Popular Vote

According to Politics1 there are probably over 999 people running for the office of President in this years Election, though I did not bother to count them all!

There are virtually no qualifications required for anyone to run for the Office of the Presidency.  You would think that in this day of drug testing for employment and background checks for everything else as well, that when someone wanted to run for the highest office in the land that there would be a “background check” for felonies and a “drug test” – just because, well, everybody else has to have one so why shouldn’t the Government officials (and hopefuls) have to comply too?.  I bet that the list of people running for office would shrink dramatically if those two requirements alone were implemented.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, I am sure, would “pass the tests” the end result would be the same thing we have now – Two more billionaire idiots who do not care about anything but their own bank accounts running for the highest office in the land…and a bunch of dumbasses running out to vote for them!  I would be one of them!  Although I doubt I will actually know who I am voting for until Election Day itself.  You can never be sure what will happen between now and then.

Age and Citizenship requirements – US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

  • No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States. LINK
  • So,

From where I am watching, this Country is in very bad shape right now.  And the whole World, as well, is in a very uncompromising position.  The Atomic Clock is at “3 minutes to midnight”.  The news is getting worse everyday and that could be because it IS getting worse everyday, OR that the media as a whole is portraying it as such…Your guess is as good as mine! The Elections are now being overseen by the DHS and we are at constant threat of some kind of attack either by our own or by some other entity that may or may not even exist.  Food prices are rising steadily.   Children are being kidnapped right out from under us by CPS (Child Protective Services), a Government agency set up to take care of vulnerable children, not displace them.  Clean water is becoming more and more scarce.  There is absolutely no end to the trials and tribulations that may await us after the upcoming election.

The best thing I can think of to say about this event which will be remembered in history, is to think smart.  Very carefully review your options, and then vote with your conscience on Election Day 2016.  Our very lives may well depend upon what the Citizens of this great Country decide to do on Election Day!

VOTE for the FREEDOM of CANNABIS!  This includes all forms of HEMP!  REPEAL PROHIBITION first and foremost to gain a momentum to start cleaning up the mess that has been made by the Justice Department and the prison industrial complex.  That would be a good start.  Freedom to plant and consume Cannabis on our own property without fear of arrest or seizure.  This order should come from the United Nations and followed by every Country involved with the U.N.

True Freedom will begin to become a reality when total control of our food and water and medicinal plants are relinquished by the U.N., and therefore become “lawful” for us to possess and consume, as a people, once again.  This means that the U.N. must REPEAL those requirements and not take total control of our unalienable rights by the total regulation through the U.N. and Agenda 21 (Agenda 30).  Please note that I said “lawful” and NOT legal.  There is a difference, and that difference is the freedom to have unalienable rights that cannot be taken away by Government.  We must be very careful how we proceed from now on with this issue.  One wrong decision could enslave us forever.

While we are awaiting Peace and Prosperity, let us remember those who have been much less fortunate than ourselves, in any or all aspects of life, and give them help and kind words whenever possible.  Remember, if it hasn’t been you so far, it could be you in the future.

Clinton Gave Thumbs Down to Legal Marijuana, Leak Shows

By Tom Angell on October 10th, 2016

Image result for marijuana and hillary clinton

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton spoke out against legalizing marijuana in a paid speech, hacked emails from her campaign show.

During an on-stage Q & A session with Xerox’s chairman and CEO in March 2014, Clinton used Wall Street terminology to express her opposition to ending cannabis prohibition “in all senses of the word”:

URSULA BURNS: So long means thumbs up, short means thumbs down; or long means I support, short means I don’t. I’m going to start with — I’m going to give you about ten long-shorts.

SECRETARY CLINTON: Even if you could make money on a short, you can’t answer short.

URSULA BURNS: You can answer short, but you got to be careful about letting anybody else know that. They will bet against you. So legalization of pot?

SECRETARY CLINTON: Short in all senses of the word.

The excerpt comes from an internal Clinton campaign memo highlighting potentially problematic passages from her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs, General Electric, Deutsche Bank and other major corporations.

Other excerpts from the 80-page document, published by Wikileaks after a hack on Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s email account, show the former U.S. secretary of state admitting she is “far removed” from the struggles of the middle class, arguing that politicians need to have separate positions on issues in public and in private and supporting “open trade and open borders.”

Over the course of the past year, the Clinton campaign forcefully refused calls to release the speech transcripts from her Democratic primary opponent, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, who supports legalization and has introduced legislation to end federal marijuana prohibition.

That the campaign flagged the candidate’s opposition to legalization as a potential problem demonstrates a growing understanding by political operatives that marijuana law reform is now a mainstream issue, one which is supported by a majority of Americans and a supermajority of Democratic primary voters.

While Clinton has made no secret in public appearances that she isn’t ready to endorse full legalization, she has usually framed her position as taking a wait-and-see approach, wanting to give laws like those in Colorado and other states a chance to work before she makes up her mind about ending prohibition.

The leaked Xerox excerpt, in contrast, positions her as strongly opposed to legalization.

But the remarks were made two-and-a-half years ago, just two months after legal marijuana sales began in Colorado, so it is possible that Clinton’s personal view of legalization has legitimately softened in the interim.

During the course of her presidential campaign, Clinton has highlighted support for letting states set their own cannabis policies without federal interference and has pledged to reschedule marijuana under the Controlled Substances Act if elected.

But advocates have pushed the candidate to go even further by offering a personal endorsement for the policy of legalization, arguing that doing so could help Clinton win back support from wayward millennial voters who are supporting Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson or Jill Stein of the Green Party, both of whom have made support for ending cannabis prohibition centerpieces of their campaigns.

The newly-leaked documents showing Clinton’s strong opposition to legalization in a private appearance, combined with comments from the candidate’s daughter Chelsea last month implying that marijuana use can lead to death, could present an added sense of urgency for Clinton to evolve on the question of ending prohibition prior to Election Day.

A short list of Candidates to choose from for the 2016 Presidential Race….

    3/18/2016

    ShereeKrider

It suffices to say that I am not at all excited about this years #POTUS ‘Race for the Whitehouse’.

There isn’t one Candidate that I have found so far, that has been termed ‘electable’, that I care to vote for.

But that is just my personal opinion and not worth very much by todays standards!

I am putting together my ‘short list’ of possible, electable Candidates to Office of the Presidency which include the Candidates outlined below.

The U.S. Marijuana Party will issue a statement prior to the election on who they are supporting.  As of right now we are still undetermined.

For purposes of this article, I am expressing my own personal thoughts on the subject.

I surely would not give Hillary Clinton my vote.  Here is “Louder with Crowder’s” rendition of 7 Undeniable Reasons You CAN NOT Vote Hillary

I can save everyone some time here and just say that I agree with everything he said!

Next we look at Donald Trump.  Wow, what a stage show!  A man who has never participated in politics in his life with the exception of lobbying efforts by the Trump empire. But according to him, “I Was Part of the Problem, But I Can Fix It”.   I have to admit I have some fear as to what would happen if this man were elected and for that reason I will withhold that vote.

Moving right along we come next to Sen. Bernie Sanders who definitely has his heart in the right place!  He is a “Democratic-Socialist” who aims to please all.  Well as much as possible anyway.

Democratic socialism, Sanders said, is not tied to any Marxist belief or the abolition of capitalism. “I don’t believe government should own the means of production, but I do believe that the middle class and the working families who produce the wealth of America deserve a fair deal,” he said.

Socialism, in any form or fashion, is a scary term for Americans, mainly wealthy Americans.  That being said we have already been engaged in socialism in America, having been moving in this direction intended or not, for many years.  If the people participate in the governing of a Socialist Democracy it should be very good for everyone.  Americans tend to be lazy when it comes to participating in politics and even when it comes to the voting process.  Yet, we are still basically a Democracy, (although sometimes that is hard to believe as well), and our Representatives and Senators include Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents, so we should have no problem holding onto our Country if we all show up to vote in ALL of the Elections.  It is time to start participating versus sitting back, watching the show and hoping for the best outcome!

I believe Sen. Bernie Sanders could be a viable option for the vote.

Additionally, we have Libertarian Presidential Candidate and former Governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson.

If you follow the opinion of Ron Paul you will subscribe to the theory that the Founding Fathers were more Liberal than Conservative although many will disagree with this thought.

“Libertarianism is, as the name implies, the belief in liberty. Libertarians believe that each person owns his own life and property and has the right to make his own choices as to how he lives his life and uses his property – as long as he simply respects the equal right of others to do the same.” Sharon Harris, President, Advocates for Self-Government LINK

Per Wikipedia:  Johnson has been a longtime advocate of legalizing marijuana and has said that if he were president, he would remove it from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act as well as issue an executive order pardoning non-violent marijuana offenders.[128]

Gary Johnson was supported by the U.S. Marijuana Party in 2012.  He is up for consideration this year as well.  So far he is the only Candidate with a clear strategy regarding the drug war. However, I do not believe that the freedom of Cannabis will ultimately come with one Executive Order.  Legalization unto itself is becoming a legal nightmare for many.  Repealing the CSA and removing Cannabis/Hemp from the U.N. Convention on Narcotic Drugs is the only true way to REPEAL.  A Plant is a Plant, and Plants should belong to all of us. Not at the discretion of the U.N.  And yes, it should apply to ALL Plants.  Not just Cannabis.  But for purposes of the 2016 Election we will focus on Cannabis/Hemp.

Since Libertarianism is the only ‘party’ which gives back personal freedom to the people themselves this is the Party which I would definitely like to see more of in every office in the U.S.  We need Libertarians in every aspect of our Government to try to ensure our personal freedoms are not kicked out the window for good.  There is no other Party that seems willing to do this.  The Democrats and Republicans are Hell bent on destroying most any freedom we ever had in this Country.  Regardless of who you may vote for in the Presidential Election remember to consider the Libertarians as viable Candidates for all offices of Government in the future, for this reason.

Electability is another problem.  There is just not enough Press and Media support for a Libertarian Candidate or any other Third-Party Candidate for that matter, in this Country yet.  Why, I do not know except that as I pointed out before most of us do not bother to show up at the Elections at all and have been too comfortable in the past with who ever got the vote.  This is starting to change as people become more aware of what is going on around them politically.  We can thank Donald Trump for the wake up call of the masses.  If he isn’t any good for anything else he was definitely a good choice to get the attention of the people who had paid no attention before.

Could it be possible that a Third-Party Candidate, a Libertarian, could come from behind like a Kentucky Race Horse to dash past the finish line while everyone is looking and saying, “How the Hell did that happen”?.

With any luck we will hear more from Gary Johnson in the near future.  I would like to see what the Americans will do for this Candidate.  Will they even give him a chance and listen to what he has to say?  Or will we retain the old dog and pony show with the Democrats?  Or maybe we will make the jump to Democratic Socialism?  Or maybe, just maybe, the Electoral College will once again, disregard the Popular Vote and put who they want to put into office?

In the current Electoral College battlefield, 40 of 50 states have voted for the same candidate in all four elections since 2000

I invite you to browse the links which I have provided within this article and make an informed decision for yourself.  Think about what is important to you and your family and who is most likely to be able to provide that.  Personally, I would like to think that a vote for Gary Johnson would be put to good use.  It remains to be seen if He can prove himself electable.  Sen. Bernie Sanders is also a viable option.

Please feel free to leave your comments on this issue here or on any of our Facebook Plugins on the websites.

We are waiting to hear what your opinions on this are.  Your opinion counts here!

Drug Testing Robs Workforce of Talent and Creativity

By Ellen Komp, Cannabis Culture – Monday, February 11 2013

CANNABIS CULTURE – In Hillary Clinton’s farewell speech as Secretary of State last week, she said, "We need a new architecture for this new world, more Frank Gehry than formal Greek."

Clinton was referring to dealing with the complexities of working with NATO, the United Nations, and world powers, and used for her example the Venice, California-based architect Frank Gehry. Gehry molded a unique style of laid-back architecture that used materials like chain-link fence in the context of the urban sprawl of LA, and is now the world-class architect of the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles and the forthcoming Dwight D. Eisenhower memorial.

Someone who worked with Gehry in the 1980s reported him "coming out of rooms with clouds of [marijuana] smoke behind him." It wouldn’t be too surprising. Even Meghan McCain says pot smoking is everywhere in LA.

The well-entrenched drug testing industry is touting their services as the means of achieving a safe and productive workforce, even in the wake of marijuana smokers winning their rights back in Colorado and Washington.

    I beg to differ.

First of all, drug testing has never been scientifically shown to be safe or effective at improving workplace safety or productivity, and studies indicate that the great majority of drug-positive workers are just as reliable as others. Medically, the consensus of expert opinion is that drug tests are an inherently unreliable indicator of drug impairment. Dr. George Lundberg of the American Medical Association has called them "Chemical McCarthyism."

Second, by pre-screening away marijuana smokers, we’re weeding out (so to speak) some of our most creative and, I would argue, productive employees. If you doubt that marijuana smokers have contributed to our society, see VeryImportantPotheads.com. In the case of someone using marijuana for medical purposes, it’s downright discrimination to deny them employment for using what a doctor has legally recommended under state law.

Silicon Valley, the brainchild of entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates (who both admittedly smoked pot in their youth), notoriously does not drug test its employees, knowing they’d lose much of their talent that way. Yet the region is responsible for much of California’s economic productivity, in one of the few non-military industries the US has. Pot-friendly Hollywood is another shining example of an industry that exports instead of imports to the US, like most of our consumables.

It’s not surprising that Clinton would mention a possible pot smoker, since quite likely she was one herself and the president she worked for certainly was. Would either have benefited from a world that imprisoned or discriminated against them for their youthful or weekend indulgences? I think not.

Henry Ford’s method of sending investigators into his workers’ homes to observe their drinking habits seems outrageous today, yet employers are basically doing the same thing by demanding its workers pee in a cup on Monday to find out what they did on Friday night. Is it really their business?

There is an alternative called impairment testing that has been shown to be more effective than drug testing at assuring workers’ safety. But chemical tests are entrenched, in our political process, and with businesses and insurance companies. The more forward-thinking ideas are, so far, crushed under the Greek architecture of the old days.

Of Gehry, Clinton said, "Some of his work at first might appear haphazard, but in fact, it’s highly intentional and sophisticated. Where once a few strong columns could hold up the weight of the world, today we need a dynamic mix of materials and structures." We also need a dynamic and varied work force, one that might even look haphazard from the outside, to meet the challenges of today’s world.

Carl Sagan, one of the many productive members of society who enjoyed marijuana, said, "The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world."

It won’t do us much good to end the injustice of marijuana prohibition if only the unemployed can exercise their right to use it. And those companies who exercise drug testing have only a piss-poor workforce.
